Actress Tanushree Dutta elicited India with #MeToo movement and the whole nation started talking about it. The actress accused veteran actor Nana Patekar of sexual misconduct. She alleged that Nana had come too close to her for comfort during the shoot of the film 'Horn Ok Pleassss' in 2008. She has also claimed that the actor had forcefully tried to add some intimate steps into the choreography while shooting for the song. Following the incident then, Tanushree Dutta walked out of the song and was replaced by Rakhi Sawant.
Recently while talking to media, Rakhi targeted Tanushree and mentioned that she was trying to gain publicity by accusing Nana. The actress also said that all the allegations imposed by Tanushree are fake. “If something like this would have happened...have you seen my song with Nana Patekar, he did not even touch me a little," stated Rakhi.
In retribution to Rakhi statement, Tanushree has filed a defamation case of ₹ 10 crore on the actress. Tanushree’s advocate Nitin Satpute cited, "We have filed a criminal and civil defamation case against Rakhi Sawant for maligning my client's character and image. If she fails to reply then she would be punished for two years.”
Tanushree has also filed a police complaint against Nana Patekar at Oshiwara Police station. However, Nana has denied the allegations saying that nothing of the sort had happened.
