Owing to his contribution towards Aarey, beach clean-ups, Mithi river clean-ups and Mumbai's nightlife, Mumbaikars believe that they perceive Aditya Thackeray as a promising Miniter. Following are promises that Aditya Thackeray has offered as soon as he took an oath:

1. He urged Municipal Commissioners to look at converting Maharashtra's cities into sponge cities for the environment. Urban forests, rainwater percolation, rainwater harvesting, renewable energy, green buildings will be their focus.

2. He further suggested them about the health and safety of sanitation workers, better disaster management mechanisms and online direct citizen grievance redressal systems across the State.

3. Taking into account climate change, they have set their target for better cities, better roads, pedestrian pathways, open spaces, urban forests, water body rejuvenation, public transport.
