On the occasion of the International Woman’s Day, women from various walks of life are been honoured. Mumtaz Kazi who is the only lady loco pilot has been nominated for the prestigious 'Stree Shakti Puraskar'. Mumtaz Kazi will be awarded the 'Stree Shakti Puraskar' by President of India, Shri Pranab Mukherjee.
Mumtaz Kazi is working as a loco pilot from last 25 years; she has been driving trains helping thousands of commuters reach their destinations. Mumtaz Kazi drives local train from CST to Panvel. Mumtaz Kazi’s name is also registered in Limca Guinness Book of World Record.
