Earlier on Wednesday, March 16, the Maharashtra government had issued guidelines for Holi celebrations. However, on Thursday, March 17 the state government has given relief to the citizens, cited accounts.
According to reports, the state government has not imposed any restrictions for the celebration of Holi, considering that for the past two years the celebrations transpired at home.

However, owing to the continued presence of coronavirus, the government has urged all to undertake the celebrations with caution to ensure that many do not gather, crowding is averted and regard is taken of one's health and that of the others.
