In view of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Maharashtra government along with Mumbai’s civic body, the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has directed the citizens to follow the protocols with regards to the coronavirus while celebrating the festival.

Therefore, Mumbai Police is on high alert and strict security will be maintained during Navratri. Moreover, the officials have taken precautionary measures to ensure compliance with the COVID-19 protocols, Assassination, Drugs and Law and Order. In addition, the civic body has stated that citizens who do not comply with the rules will be prosecuted.

Meanwhile, Police patrols will be intensified to ensure strict adherence to the rules. Meanwhile, local political leaders, social activists as well as social organizations have been informed about the regulations as well.
