Mumbai Records The Quietest And Cleanest Diwali

This Diwali according to System of Air Quality Weather Forecasting And Research (SAFAR) the Air Quality Index (AQI) of Mumbai was 87 which is considered as 'satisfactory'.

Spreading awareness plays a crucial key and is the first step towards change. Owing to the awareness about noise and air pollution, Mumbaikars celebrated their quietest Diwali in 15 years. Mumbai recorded a decibel (dB) level of 112.3 on Sunday, October 28.

In the previous years, the firecrackers exceeded the maximum permissible decibel levels and sometimes reached as high as 145dB. Notably, this Diwali according to System of Air Quality Weather Forecasting And Research (SAFAR) the Air Quality Index (AQI) of Mumbai was 87 which is considered as 'satisfactory'.
