Chef Anees Khan, the founder of Star Anise Fine Foods and Leisure Pvt. Ltd is set to launch Star Anise Wok, Chinese Kitchen, today on June 28, 2021. The restaurant will operate from Kurla as a standalone Chinese kitchen.

After doling out cakes, high-end desserts, and other bakery products for the last two decades, the chef is off to make its mark in the hot and spicy genre this monsoon season.

Accordingly, this time Chef Anees Khan has made its way into Chinese fusion food with a new standalone cloud kitchen. The restaurant will also be providing doorstep service of Chinese Cuisines in Chembur, Ghatkopar, Kalina, Vakola, BKC and Kurla.

The brand is a fusion of traditional and contemporary elements of Cantonese cuisine. The prime purpose is to serve Indo Chinese, keeping in mind the constantly evolving and emerging trends and tastes from around the world. Keeping true to their word, Chef Anees and his team have adopted the emerging trend of cloud kitchens and are on their way to master it.

Having more than 20 years of experience in the hospitality industry, Chef Anees boasts of a vast menu. He firmly believes in giving his customers a ‘bang for their buck’. From their menu dishes like Black pepper mushroom, Chicken in Oyster, Hot Red Pepper Crispy Paneer to some add-ons to soup like Tom Yum Soup, Tomato Egg Drop Soup, Momo, Dim sums and so on, he has got it all. The brand also offers a wide variety of veg and non-veg options.

Their USP is that they are not using Ajinomoto (MSG), color's and offer a good and large portion of food.

Chef Anees Khan said: "Since we have a large kitchen, it was only a matter of acquiring a skill set for the Chinese kitchen. Chinese along with Thai food has been my favorite, we wanted to try our hands on these cuisines and serve clients high quality food the way we have always been. Besides our tasty Indo-Chinese fare, our food has no MSG, meats used are halal certified, no artificial colors used and our big portions are a value for money."

With the current crisis where food hygiene and customer safety are at the forefront, the team follows zero direct contact methodology. The kitchen premises are sanitized frequently throughout the week. The packaging is unique and has been customized specially for the brand. Spill-proof and double-sealed with a security tape, they have left no stone unturned when it comes to the perfect delivery. After a lot of research, they’re confident that their packaging ‘ticks all the boxes.’ The team is taking utmost precautions for food to be delivered at your doorstep in a safe and hygienic manner.
