Thirsty City 127 (TC 127), Craft Cocktail Bar and Brewery, opened its doors couple of months ago with a strong beverage and food programme. A bar that provides a unique and exhilarating experience, nestled inside Mumbai’s first ever microbrewery, in the historic mill area of Todi Mills. Inspired by the heady Art Deco era of Mumbai, TC127 is not a only a visual treat, but also to the palate.

TC127 is a concept that is new to the Indian market, and stands complete with a bar and microbrewery, an events space – The Grand Hall and a private bar and events space – Upstairs, at TC127.

Taking the journey of presenting experiences forward, TC 127 announces ‘Thirsty Gastronome’ – a series of events with guest chefs and restaurants from India and abroad, exploring distinguished culinary experiences. Events that aim at elevating experiences that combine the best of ingredient based cocktails with unique pop-up menus.

The first in this series is "Susegado" a Goan & Portuguese Pop-Up Brunch on Sunday 3rd February 2019 by much sought after Chef Gracian De Souza. Accompanying him in the kitchen will be resident head Chef, Chef Deepak.

Chef Gracian de Souza, who is native to Goa, is a keen explorer of the anthropological journey of Goan cuisine from the times of the Portuguese rule. Having grown up on Goan food, his recipes are inspired by his grandparents and his mum’s cooking. His keen interest in learning about the deep-seated history of Goan cuisine is what took him on an expedition to Portugal for the last three years where he spent many months learning about the flavour profiles and the way of the locals before returning back with ideas to showcase his versions of these cuisines. Chef Gracian and Chef Deepak will add hints of modernity to Goan food and introduce Portuguese cuisine to enthusiasts who savour a ingenious Sunday Brunch. The curated experience will engage with all the senses, with postcards that lend information on the inspiration and history behind each dish and cocktail heightening the sensorial journey.

From Vindaloo to Sorpotel to the lesser known Aamsol, Assado, Arroz de Marisco, Escabeche , Feijoada that uncovers the Catholic Goan food culture, the "Susegado" brunch will allow both, the traveller and the local to get an insight into Portuguese food that inspired Goan cuisine.

What’s more, there will be a live band, famously knows as The Beer Puppets Duo performing at the brunch.
