In their final pre-season match, Indian Super League (ISL) franchise Mumbai City Football Club (MCFC) won 2-0 against Real Kashmir FC (RKFC). The Islanders played this friendly at Navi Mumbai Sports Association (NMSA) on September 25 and will now look forward to playing their maiden match of the Hero Indian Super League (ISL) 2018-19 season on October 2. 

The Islanders were quick to score a goal as Lucian Goan netted the first one in the 10th minute. Lucian’s header kept MCFC leading till the 92nd minute when Sanju Pradhan scored a goal and doubled the lead for the Islanders in the dying seconds of the game.

The Islanders endured a frustrating campaign last season which saw them finish seventh on the league table. However, after a good pre-season in Thailand, the Islanders are beaming with confidence and will look forward to a remarkable season.

Mumbai City FC kicks off their 2018/19 ISL campaign against Jamshedpur FC on October 2 at the Mumbai Football Arena in front of their home fans.
