Mumbai- Don the jerseys, shoot the ball, and it's a goal... Get ready for football training.
BMC has started a new programme 'BMC Mission XI', to prepare civic school children for the Under-17 Football World Cup'17 which is scheduled in India.
This initiative will be conducted through the medium of Just Play, which is recreational football at its best – about turning up for an hour of exercise and a bit of fun. The mission will have different federations including FIFA, AIFA, WIFA, MDFA participating. The mission was kickstarted in the presence of Yuva Sena Chief Aditya Thackeray and Mayor Snehal Ambekar. The training programme will not only include kids but physical training for teachers too. Mumbai BJP President Ashish Shelar targeted the Shiv Sena saying our party workers are working hard to make sure that the mayor is from their party. To this, Aditya shot back, "My aim is the ultimate goal, the mayor will be elected from within our party."
