Coronavirus cases in Kalyan Dombivli cross 29000-mark

As per reports, 378 new coronavirus cases and 10 deaths were reported in Kalyan Dombivali areas on Monday, August 31, 2020. The division has seen an increase in the cases, and the cases in this municipal area have now reached 29,015.

Coronavirus cases in the city of Mumbai seem to be decreasing, however, cases in the Mumbai Metropolitan region have been on a rise since the last few weeks. As per reports, 378 new coronavirus cases and 10 deaths were reported in Kalyan Dombivali areas on Monday, August 31, 2020. The division has seen an increase in the cases, and the cases in this municipal area have now reached 29,015.

Below mentioned is the data released by the State Health Department with regards to COVID-19 cases in the Kalyan Dombivli Municipal Corporation (KDMC) 

  • Kalyan East - 55 
  • Kalyan West - 92 
  • Dombivli East - 121
  • Dombivli West - 83 
  • Titwala - 8 
  • Mohana - 3 
  • Piswali - 16  

Meanwhile, 426 patients have been discharged on Monday. A total of 3134 patients are being treated currently and 25,251 patients have been discharged. However, 630 patients have passed away from coronavirus infection. While many patients are being treated in home isolation, many have been discharged from the hospital.

The State Government of Maharashtra released a new set of guidelines under Unlock 4.0 and the government allowed some relaxations under the 'Mission Begin Again' initiative. Announcing one of the important decisions, the government stated that all offices across Maharashtra can function with 30 per cent staff, to the earlier allowed 10 per cent. Moreover, all the hotels and lodges can now function with 100 per cent capacity.

Meanwhile, it was expected that the Mumbai local train services will resume this month, for the public. However, despite the opposition commenting regularly on the same, and the public requesting the government, CM Uddhav-Thackeray led cabinet has not declared anything with regards to the public transport, under the recently announced guidelines.
