Maharashtra recorded 11,088 new COVID-19 cases on Tuesday, taking the state-wide tally to 5,35,601. With 256 more patients succumbing to the deadly virus, the death toll has gone up to 18,306 in the state. In the last 24 hours, 10,014 patients were recovered and discharged from the hospitals. As per the state health department, the total number of recoveries in the state have reached 3,68,435 and there are currently 1,48,553 active cases.

Mumbai recorded 917 fresh coronavirus cases on Tuesday, taking the total caseload of the city to 1,25,239. There were 48 more deaths in the city which has taken the fatality toll up to 6,890. There have been a total of 99,147 recoveries and 18.905 active cases across the city.

On Tuesday, Pune division reported 2,459 coronavirus cases along with 62 more deaths. The total caseload has gone up to 1,35,061 and the fatality toll has reached 3,596. The total number of cases in the Nashik division has reached 52,447 along with 1,496 fatalities. The Kolhapur division has recorded 18,370 positive cases and 499 deaths. So far, the Aurangabad division has reported 21,573 COVID-19 cases along with 708 deaths so far. 

While addressing a press conference, Maharashtra Health Minister Rajesh Tope has said that the State Government will soon issue a notification for reducing the prices of masks and sanitizers. He added that the state has already reduced the cost of coronavirus testing from ₹2,200 to ₹1,900.
