Mumbai Reports 910 Fresh Coronavirus Cases, 57 New Deaths In The City

With 988 patients discharged in the last 24 hours, the total number of recoveries have gone up to 92.661 in Mumbai.

Mumbai recorded 910 fresh COVID-19 cases on Thursday, taking the total caseload of the city to 1,20,165. With 57 new deaths, the fatality toll has now reached 6,645 in the city. According to the data provided by the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC), there are about 20,562 active cases in the city.

With 988 patients discharged in the last 24 hours, the total number of recoveries have gone up to 92.661 in Mumbai. As per the BMC, the overall recovery rate has reached at 77 per cent and the doubling rate is at 80 days in the city.  

Dharavi reported eight new coronavirus cases on Thursday. The tally has now reached 2,597 in the clustered slums. Just a day before on Wednesday, only a single case was reported from the area. As per the BMC, Dharavi currently has only 82 active cases and the number of recovered patients has gone up to 2,257. However, the civic body has stopped disclosing the death toll in the area. 

Meanwhile, Maharashtra reported 11,514 new COVID-19 cases on Thursday, taking its tally to 4,79,779. About 316 patients succumbed to the virus in the last 24 hours taking the death toll to 16,792 in the state. As per the state health department, 3,16,375 have recovered from the deadly infection and there are currently 1,46,305 active patients in the state.
