A review meeting was immediately held by the public health department after the central government instructed the state government to be vigilant with regards to increasing Covid patients in the country. In this meeting, state and district level hospital preparedness, instructions regarding mock drill, drug stock and other equipment were reviewed.


On Wednesday, 483 corona patients were found in the state and the number of patients under treatment has reached 2500. Therefore, even though the number of covid patients are increasing, citizens were advised not to panic, but to take care.


A review meeting regarding Corona preparedness was held on March 29 under the chairmanship of the Secretary of the Public Health Department to take necessary measures against the backdrop of increasing number of Corona patients in the state. Director, Joint Director, Deputy Director and State Action Force members of the Health Department were present in this meeting. On this occasion, special instructions were given to every district and municipality in the state. The positive rate of patient tests in the state has increased by 5 per cent compared to the previous months, from March 22 to 28, the rate was 6.15 per cent.


What are the suggestions?

  • At the hospital level and during field visits, health workers should promptly screen patients with symptoms such as mild fever, chills, cough, body aches, sore throat, shortness of breath, shortness of breath, and severe cough

  • Samples of positive patients undergoing corona tests should be sent regularly for corona genetic sequencing

  • Strictly follow patient follow-up guidelines and isolation instructions

  • Ensure availability of medicines and supplies in the hospital

  • A control room should be started immediately in every district



Eight new patients of 'H3N2' in the state

Eight new cases of H3N2 have been reported in the state on Wednesday. So the number of patients has increased to 341. At present 89 patients are undergoing treatment in various hospitals of the state. Since January 1, 3.53 lakh suspected cases of influenza have been found in the state. Keeping in view the increasing number of patients, isolation rooms have been set up in all medical colleges and hospitals. Necessary medicines and supplies have been kept there and instructions have been given to all District Health Officers, District Surgeons and Medical Health Officers in the state.
