A special vaccination centre has been launched for disabled citizens in the Mira Bhayander Municipal Corporation (MBMC) area. On Wednesday, June 2, this special vaccination centre was inaugurated in Bhayander (East) in the presence of Municipal Commissioner Dilip Dhole, Corporator Meena Kangane, Vaccination Officer Dr. Anjali Patil and others.
According to reports, on the first day, 163 people with disabilities were vaccinated.

As there are long queues outside the government and municipal vaccination centres, it is difficult for persons with disabilities to wait in such crowded areas, hence MBMC Commissioner Dilip Dhole had instructed to provide a separate vaccination facility for them.
Accordingly, an independent vaccination centre has been started from 10 am to 4 pm in the auditorium on the ground floor of Moreshwar Patil Bhavan. The disabled will be able to come directly to the centre and get vaccinated. The beneficiaries will have to carry a valid ID proof and certificate of disability.
There are a total of 1,027 persons with disabilities in MBMC area, of which 651 persons are above 18 years of age and 376 persons above 45 years of age.
Out of these, 163 persons above 18 years of age and 179 persons above 45 years of age have been vaccinated so far. Earlier, 46 persons with disabilities above 45 years of age were vaccinated.
