Mumbai - The BEST, currently undergoing a financial crisis, is planning to lease out land owned by it to telecom towers. Reliance Jio and Suyog Telecom have have submitted proposals to set up 8 and 65 towers respectively on BEST land. The proposal has now been sent to the BEST committee for approval. The land will be leased out for a period of 10 years and is expected make a handsome amount out of the deal. Reliance Jio is also in talks with the civic body to install 23 more telecom towers in the city, it is learnt.
