Bombay High Court has issued an interim order with regards to the petition filed by Cuffe Parade resident and lawyer Robin Jaisinghaniya. HC has ordered Mumbai Metro Rail Corporation not to extend work timings beyond 6:00 pm. The next hearing will take place after two weeks.

Robin Jaisinghaniya and his family stay close to the ongoing construction of Metro-3. The construction started in the month of February and it was causing inconvenience to the family due to the loud noise. The official timing is from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm but workers work beyond the said time, sometimes the whole night, said Jaisinghaniya.

He had mentioned in the petition that the sound limit should not exceed 55 decibels but in reality, the sound limit goes up to 100 decibels disturbing the family to the core. In a petition, he demanded that MMRC should give INR 10,000 to every family member for disrupting their family routine and giving them sleepless nights.
