As a part of Magnetic Maharashtra 2.0, the Maharashtra government is set to sign 12 memorandums of understanding (MoUs) with global companies for investments worth ₹16,000 crores. Earlier, the Magnetic Maharashtra convergence was held in Mumbai in February 2018 which was attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

The convergence held in 2018 sought to attract ₹10 lakh crore investment into the economy of Maharashtra. Now, Maharashtra is set to unveil its Magnetic Maharashtra 2.0 roadmap to attract industries in the state.

According to media reports, the MoUs are to be signed with major companies across the globe including the United States of America, China, South Korea and Singapore.

Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray will launch the roadmap for Magnetic Maharashtra 2.0 on Monday via video conferencing along with Maharashtra Industries Minister Subhash Desai.

The Industries department officials informed that the investments will be made in the engineering, automobile, food processing and other sectors. Moreover, the companies linked to the MoUs have already sought land to set up their industrial units. The Maharashtra government will soon allot the land to them.
