The wait of Mumbaikars for the MHADA house draw for the last four years is finally coming to an end. The Mumbai Board of MHADA has fixed the number and prices of houses in the lottery. Accordingly, a lottery will be drawn for 3820 houses in Mumbai and houses of all income groups will be included in this. The lower income group will have 2612 houses while the middle income group will only have 85 houses. Houses priced from INR 32 lakh to INR 4.38 crore are included in the draw. The advertisement will be released for the draw of these houses by the end of April or in the first week of May.
Millions of applications are submitted for Mumbai MHADA lottery however since 2019, MHADA has not organised a lottery for Mumbai houses. But now the Mumbai board has speeded up the draw process.
Milind Borikar, Chief Officer of Mumbai Board informed Loksatta that the number and prices of the houses in the lottery have been determined and finalised. He also said that after completing the necessary process, the advertisement will be released as soon as possible. If the advertisement is released by the end of April or the first week of May, then the registration, application sale and application acceptance process will be carried out for a month to a half month. Therefore, the result of the draw is likely to be announced in June.

Houses ranging from lakhs to crores
The estimated prices of 3,820 houses in the lottery have also been fixed by the board on Wednesday. The most expensive house is located in Juhu Vikrant in Andheri and the price of this house is INR 4.38 crore. Some more houses in the same project are priced at INR 3.81 crore. The price of a house for the middle income group in Ideal Apartment in Andheri is for INR 2.41 crore. The lowest prices are for houses in Pahadi Goregaon. The price of houses in the EWS group has been fixed at INR 32.94 lakh. The price of small group houses there is priced at INR 45.86 lakh.
