It has been reported in the study that Mumbai witnessed its worst traffic congestion during the festivities and monsoon in 2021. This can, however, be attributed to the fact that local trains couldn’t be used non-essential commute.

The report also added that in 2021, Mumbai registered similar congestion levels at 53 per cent as last year, but, the peak traffic variance witnessed a fall of 22 per cent in contrast to 2019.
