“Real Estate Regulator Authority (ReRa) should take strict action against the illegal builders who dupe customers in the name of new projects,” said RTI activist Vijay Kumbhar. He wrote to ReRa preident Gautam Chhaterjee to take action against the builders who have sold NA plots without any legal documents.
According to the law, projects which began prior to the formation of ReRa, should register themselves with ReRa within three months. “ReRa should take Suo Moto against such builders and developers and should take action against the same. Only then they will stop luring customers with false promises,” said Kumbhar. Along with the letter, he also submitted list of projects which are upcoming in Thane and Pune, calling it as a farce to ReRa authority.
