Meet Arundhati Mhatre. She is a nature-lover and her love for the environment is evident as she is making a positive contribution to the society. Making best out of waste, she has built tiny bird shelters. She keeps food in those houses and birds come and go at their free will.
She has used bamboo canes, coconut shells and clay to build those petit structures. Because she wanted to make a difference and wanted to contribute to the environment, she and her friends started an association called ‘Arenya’ a unique initiative to create a culture where every other household would contribute to the well-being of birds, by using shelters and feeders for them.
We have a responsibility towards the environment and we need to fulfil those responsibilities. Her initiative is commendable and we should take some inspiration from it.
