Maharashtra minister, Aaditya Thackeray while interacting with the media commented about Maharashtra Navnirman Sena's (MNS) chief, Raj Thackeray's remark on loudspeakers. The cabinet minister reportedly mentioned that instead of removing loudspeakers, one should use them to speak about the rising inflation.
The state minister for environment and tourism added that one should speak about petrol, diesel or CNG and should notice the recent two-three years, not the last 60 years.

At a rally in Thane, earlier this week, the MNS chief reiterated his warning to the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) to shut loudspeakers in mosques till May 3, claiming that they cause a nuisance to others.
He then hinted at a statewide protest if the government fails to comply with his demands. He was quoted saying, “Hold meetings with all the Maulavis and remove loudspeakers from the mosques. After May 3, Hanuman Chalisa will be played outside any mosque that has loudspeakers.”
Thackeray first made the demand for removing loudspeakers from mosques at a gathering at Shivaji Park on April 2 on Gudi Padwa. The demand drew flak from various quarters. This not only included MNS's own workers, but also Ajit Pawar, Sharad Pawar and Sanjay Raut amongst others.
