Taking a fresh jibe at the Shiv Sena over its performance in the Bihar assembly elections, Amruta Fadnavis, wife of BJP leader Devendra Fadnavis, on Thursday addressed the party as "Shav Sena". “Shav” in Marathi means corpse.

Meanwhile, she also thanked Devendra Fadnavis for taking Bihar to its rightful place (with a mandate for the NDA).

This statement comes on the backdrop of BJP and alliance partner JD(U) winning the Bihar assembly elections.

Tweeting a video clip of Devendra Fadnavis' interview on Bihar polls, she said, "What is going on exactly? The Shav Sena did kill its own colleague (Congress) in Bihar. No matter where they are taking Maharashtra, but thanks for putting Bihar at right place," she tweeted.

Interestingly, she also used the emoji of a penguin, which is often used to mock and target Thackerays.

Fadnavis also said that Shiv Sena, who gives advice to others has received fewer votes than NOTA. "A new record has been registered against the Uddhav Thackeray's party in Bihar."

Most of the Sena candidates lost deposits in the Bihar polls, while the Congress, which fought in alliance with the RJD, too performed poorly. The Sena and Congress are part of the ruling coalition Maha Aghadi Vikas (MVA) in Maharashtra.
