Shiv Sena spokesperson from Worli, Arvind Bhosale is known for this barefoot protests. Though he did not get the ticket to contest the BMC polls this time, he has got a consolation for all this barefoot antics. Shiv Sena has decided to nominate him to the BMC.
The BJP and Shiv Sena will be able to nominate 2 members where as the Congress can nominate 1 member at the BMC. Sources have revealed that the Sena has decided to nominate a candidate who lost the elections and the other who was upset at not being given the ticket. The other member who has been nominated by the Sena is Trushna Vishwasrao.
As for Arvind Bhosale, he was upset at not getting a ticket. Earlier he had taken a vow to remain barefoot till Narayan Rane lost the elections. He did fulfil his promise. Now after being denied a ticket at the BMC elections, he again took a vow to remain barefoot till the end of the elections. The party was never impressed by these antics, though they have decided to nominate him.
Congress has more or less finalized on Sunil Narsale who is their South Mumbai district President. The BJP has not yet come out with their nominations.
