Amid the wave of changing names in Uttar Pradesh, Bhim Army in Mumbai has demanded to rename Dadar Railway Station as ‘Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Terminus’. “if it doesn’t happen until December 6, we will agitate,” said Bhim Army.

Maharashtra Bhim Army President Ashok Kamble has written a letter to Maharashtra government demanding to rename Dadar station before December 6. The letter mentions that they have been demanding the same for almost 25-30 years.

Two years ago, Bhim Army had written a letter to the railways and Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis demanding to rename Dadar station but the request was ignored by the government. Kamble said that western railway renamed a station as Ram Mandir with ease and changed Elphinstone Road to Prabhadevi but has ignored their demand for almost 30 years.
