Leader of Opposition (LoP) in Maharashtra Legislative Assembly, Devendra Fadnavis on Tuesday lashed out at Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray after a ‘Free Kashmir’ poster was raised during a protest at Gateway of India in Mumbai.

While labelling the protest as “Free Kashmir Anti-India campaign”, Former CM Devendra Fadnavis took to Twitter and said that this happened just two-kilometre away from the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO).

“Protest is for what exactly? Why slogans of “Free Kashmir”? How can we tolerate such separatist elements in Mumbai? ‘Free Kashmir’ slogans by Azadi gang at 2km from CMO? Uddhav ji are you going to tolerate this Free Kashmir Anti India campaign right under your nose?” Devendra Fadnavis tweeted.

On Monday, the photo of Mehak Mirza Prabhu holding ‘Free Kashmir’ placard went viral on social media and created huge chaos.

The students and youth were protesting at Gateway of India for 35 hours straight against attack on Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) students until they were “relocated” by Mumbai police to Azad Maidan.

On Sunday night, masked men entered the JNU campus in Delhi and attacked the students and professors present there with sticks and rods while damaging the property in the university premises.
