BJP leader Ashish Shelar challenged Environment Minister Aaditya Thackeray for an open discussion on the matters related Metro instead of giving covert interviews. At the same time, the Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray was laying the groundwork for the indirect transfer of Rs 50,000 crore regarding the land of Salt Pan due to the proposal of Metro car shed alleged Shelar.

Speaking to media, Ashish Shelar said, "We cannot deny that a person has filed a writ petition on Survey No. 258A regarding the place where we have proposed a metro car shed on Kanjurmarg." He received a stay order in January 1997. On October 1, 2020, the District Collector himself said that there is no substantial evidence on this.

Ashish Shelar said that the validity of the decision taken by him to transfer such a large number of seats considering only the opinion of the Advocate General as a solution is in question. “Four different cases are pending from the City Civil Court to the High Court. Even though the Center had filed a suit in the High Court on September 22 before the government's announcement, why did they hide this matter from public?”

“If a land worth Rs 50,000 crore cannot be given without the permission of the Salt Pan Land Commissioner, then why was foundation stone laid on that for the developers and owners of that place? Ashish Shelar asked. "We are challenging Aaditya Thackeray to discuss this with us on any platform," he said.
