Senior BJP leader and former minister Eknath Khadse took education minister Vinod Tawde to task in Legislative Assembly on Friday.
Khadse asked Tawde why the government was not taking a decision to form Special Investigative Team (SIT) to conduct an inquiry into the allegations of scam in school education material supply.
Khadse asked Tawde why he was not taking the decision regarding formation of SIT in the allegation even after receiving the report of a committee formed to investigate the scam. He had asked about the measures taken by the government to investigate the scam in which only a selective contractors were given contracts for supply of educational material.
It is to be mentioned here that Khadse had earlier targeted two ministers – industries minister Subhash Desai and power minister Chandrashekhar Bawankule - during the Budget Session.
