Amid the conflict between Shiv Sena and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) over power-sharing, Sena MP Sanjay Raut has once again targeted its political ally stating that BJP should abide by their words.

Raut further reiterated that BJP had talked about equal participation in power and now they are not complying with the same. After the declaration of Maharashtra assembly elections result, Shiv Sena is adamant on the 50-50 power-sharing deal.

While talking to the media, the Shiv Sena spokesperson said that Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis had admitted before BJP President Amit Shah that all position of power will be equally distributed.

...however, BJP is not retracting from their promise. Shiv Sena is not a child, if any party in Maharashtra has 145 MLAs, they can form a government. The people have given a majority to BJP and Shiv Sena both and not one party,” said Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut.

After Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray earlier said that if BJP doesn’t honour the 50-50 power-sharing formula, they might turn to another alternative.
