Prepare to fight elections alone on all 48 seats in Maharashtra: BJP Amit Shah to party MPs

Ahead of the upcoming elections, BJP President Amit Shah is expected to organise a meeting with the party MPs in all states


Ahead of the upcoming Lok Sabha and Maharashtra assembly elections, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has been trying to lure Shiv Sena to form an alliance with them for months now. However, Shiv Sena is not willing to accept the offer and indulges in constant criticism of the ruling party.

In a meeting at New Delhi’s Maharashtra Sadan, BJP president Amit Shah informed the BJP Maharashtra MPs to remain ready to contest elections on all seats and not wait for the Shiv Sena to join. 

Shah is expected to conduct meetings with MPs from all the states. The first meeting was organised on Wednesday at Maharashtra Sadan in New Delhi where the BJP president spoke about forming an alliance for the upcoming elections. Shah informed that they will contest on all 48 seats in Maharashtra and are not expecting to bear the loss of seats. Shah has ordered the MPs to visit their constituency and interact with the voters.

According to sources, in the meeting, the BJP MPs discussed that the reservation issue for Dhangar (Shepherd) community has intensified and this can be a blow for the BJP in the upcoming elections. Therefore, the party’s stand on the same shall be clear.
