We all know how the symbol of power can hypnotise the personalities. The national president of BJP, Amit Shah, could not control the emotions regarding the use of red beacon atop his vehicle during his Thane visit. Though not serving any constitutional post, Shah has been using the red beacon atop his vehicle under the name of a Z-Plus security.

The Union Government has banned the use of red beacon atop ministers’ and other dignitaries’ official vehicles to do away with the VVIP culture. This ban will come into effect on May 1. Many state ministers have removed red beacons from their official vehicles and even Governor of Maharashtra has also stopped using the red beacon car.

BJP president Amit Shah, who was in Thane to attend a programme on Veer Savarkar, was seen using the red beacon car. Mumbai city BJP president Ashish Shelar, who advocates transparency, was also accompanying Amit Shah in this programme.
