On Monday, Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) Spokesperson Nikhil Anand from Bihar said to the media that the Crime Bureau of Investigation (CBI) should interrogate Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut and Maharashtra Minister Aaditya Thackeray in relation to the death case of Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput. Anand went on to suggest that the CBI should conduct a narco-analysis test on Raut and Thackeray.

Anand further alleged that the evidence connected to the death case is being tampered with and destroyed.

This statement was made after MP Sanjay Raut wrote a controversial article was in Shiv Sena's mouthpiece 'Saamana' stating that the relationship between Sushant Singh Rajput and his father KK Singh had broken down as the late actor did not approve of his father’s second marriage. He further claimed that there was no reason for the Bihar government to intervene in the case since Sushant had become a full-fledged Mumbaikar in the last few years. Raut is also the Executive Editor of the publication.

Following this article, Sushant’s cousin MLA Neeraj Singh Bablu of BJP told the media all the claims made by Raut are baseless and this is an attempt to politicize the matter. Bablu also said that Sushant's family will file a defamation case against Raut if he does not publicly apologize to them.

The late actor's death case has now turned into a political fiasco and a war ground for the Maharashtra and Bihar Government. In recent developments, actress Rhea Chakraborty and her brother were called to the Enforcement Directorate (ED) office for another round of questioning in the money laundering probe connected to Sushant's death case.
