There are signs of a merger between the BJP and Shiv Sena (Eknath Shinde) within Mahayuti in Kalyan–Dombivli, and both parties have begun inducting leaders from other parties. On Thursday, Maharashtra Navnirman Vidyarthi Sena’s Dombivli city president Milind Mhatre, city chief Omnath Natekar, former Shiv Sena (Uddhav Thackeray faction) Palghar district president Adv. Namrata Vaiti (Thakur), division chief Ravi Thalkar, former Thane Zilla Parishad vice-president Subhash Pawar, and many of their supporters joined the BJP.

State President Ravindra Chavan welcomed the new entrants at the induction ceremony held at the BJP state office, where former Union Minister Kapil Patil and MLAs Rajan Naik and Kisan Kathore were present.

Although Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, and Ajit Pawar have stated that the Mahayuti will contest elections together wherever possible, BJP and Shiv Sena leaders continue to clash in Kalyan–Dombivli. BJP state president Ravindra Chavan has been working to weaken Shinde’s dominance in the region, resulting in a steady influx of leaders and workers into the BJP. Recently, several leaders including Dipesh Mhatre, son of former mayor Pundalik Mhatre have also switched to the BJP, strengthening its position against Shiv Sena (Uddhav Thackeray), MNS, and Bahujan Vikas Aghadi in Kalyan–Dombivli and Vasai–Virar.

New entrants include Dombivli MNS sub-city chief Harishchandra Paradkar, branch chief Sachin Korlekar, Laxman Nakate, Pradeep Sagvekar, Hemant Mhatre, Praveen Chavan, Adv. Kavita Mhatre, branch president Ganesh Yadav, and division president Sameer Patil.

From the Shiv Sena (Uddhav Thackeray faction), Vasai city chief Sadhana Chavan, Mamata Chavan, division chief Sunita Chavan, division president Bhagyashree Sutar, Vidya Khamkar, Radhika D’Souza, and Yuva Sena division chief Sushant Patil joined the BJP. Deputy district chief Ramchandra Dalvi, taluka chief Prakash Pawar, market committee chairman Balkrishna Choudhary, vice-chairman Gurunath Zunjarrav, taluka secretary Dhanaji Dalvi, women’s wing chief Rekha Isame, and youth chief Sagar Kadav also switched to the BJP.
