While interacting with the media persons on Friday, April 8, Shiv Sena Minister Sanjay Raut claimed that the BJP is making presentations in Mumbai to make the city a place that can be ruled by the Union. Raut alleged that the individual who has sponsored these presentations is a big builder from Mumbai.
In addition to him, Raut claims that an individual from Varanasi is also involved. The Shiv Sena minister made startling claims that the entire conspiracy is being led by Kirit Somaiya.

For the past few days, the two politicians have been attacking each other. On Wednesday, April 6, Raut had accused Somaiya of diverting funds collected from people's donations to save INS Vikrant. While the BJP leader refuted these allegations, the Mumbai Police registered a case of cheating against Somaiya and his son for the alleged misappropriation of funds of nearly INR 57 crore from the funds collected to save the aircraft carrier from scrapping.
Similarly, on Thursday, April 7, Raut accused Somaiya of laundering funds through the Punjab and Maharashtra Cooperative (PMC) Bank.
Commenting on these allegations, Somaiya stated that he was ready to face action if found guilty and challenged the Maharashtra government to give information available. On Thursday, Shiv Sena workers conducted protests against Somaiya across several districts in Maharashtra, including Mumbai.
