After Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) senior leader Chhagan Bhujbal’s light talk with the media and his discharge, Bhujbal on Friday met NCP supremo Sharad Pawar. This was his first official meet with the party chief after his bail.

Bhujbal met Pawar at the latter’s silver oak bungalow and it is being speculated that there was a political discussion among them.

With Bhujbal getting bail, ahead of Maharashtra elections, it has changed the course of the political environment in the state. Bhujbal has a history with Shiv Sena as he served the party for 25 years. Recently, Pankaj Bhujbal - son of the senior NCP leader - met Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray.

After his discharge from KEM hospital, Bhujbal had a talk with the media where he praised Shiv Sena and informed that Sharad Pawar was the first person to call him after he was out of jail after two years.

Bhujbal was arrested by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in connection with the Maharashtra Sadan Scam and Money Laundering Case. However, Bombay High Court granted him bail in the money laundering case.

Senior NCP leader has already started to make a comeback in the state politics. He is expected to speak on the NCP foundation day in Pune on June 10.
