Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde recently made an exciting announcement during a cleanliness drive in Mumbai, setting the stage for a remarkable celebration. He has called upon the Mumbai civic commissioner to illuminate temples and buildings across the city with decorative lights, creating a grand Diwali-like atmosphere on January 22nd, coinciding with the consecration of the highly anticipated Lord Ram temple in Ayodhya.

The upcoming consecration ceremony in Ayodhya has garnered significant attention, as Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, and more than 6,000 attendees are expected to grace the occasion. This historic event is a culmination of years of anticipation and devotion. Chief Minister Shinde shared heartfelt sentiments during his announcement, emphasizing that the Ram temple had been a cherished dream of the late Balasaheb Thackeray, the founder of the Shiv Sena, and countless devoted followers of Lord Ram. Shinde commended Prime Minister Modi for his unwavering commitment to transforming this dream into reality, highlighting Modi's impressive track record in delivering on promises, whether in the realm of Railways or airports.

A Cleanliness Drive for a Purer Environment

The call to celebrate Diwali on January 22nd extends to the entire city of Mumbai, where the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has been tasked with adorning temples and buildings with radiant lighting. This initiative aims to infuse the spirit of festivity and reverence into every corner of Mumbai, in honor of this momentous occasion. Meanwhile, simultaneously, the government is making efforts to enhance air quality and cleanliness in the state capital. Deep cleaning initiatives have been launched at ten locations in Mumbai, forming part of an ongoing campaign to improve the environment and the overall well-being of residents.

A Grand Celebration Planned

To facilitate devotees' travel to the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya after its inauguration on January 22nd, special trains will be launched from every Assembly constituency in Maharashtra. This move aims to ensure that those who wish to witness this historic event firsthand have convenient and efficient transportation options. The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has also taken significant steps to mark the Ram Temple inauguration in Ayodhya with grandeur. Special arrangements have been made at major temples in Mumbai, and the party intends to actively participate in the celebrations. A "Deepotsav" (festival of lights) will illuminate approximately 10,000 homes in every ward across Mumbai on January 22nd, creating a vibrant and festive atmosphere.
