Former Mumbai Congress President Milind Deora on Sunday night praised the Arvind Kejriwal-led Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government in Delhi saying that it is now one of India’s most fiscal prudent governments.

Deora took to Twitter and shared a pro-Arvind Kejriwal video describing the AAP government’s achievements in Delhi while stating that the Delhi government's revenue has been doubled and it has managed to maintain a revenue surplus.

“Sharing a lesser known and welcome fact – the Arvind Kejriwal-led Delhi government doubled its revenues to ₹60,000 crores and maintained a revenue surplus over the last 5 years. Food for thought: Delhi is now one of India’s most fiscally prudent governments (sic),” Congress leader Milind Deora tweeted.

Deora’s remarks come after Congress witnessed a major defeat in 2020 Delhi assembly elections and won zero seats while AAP managed to gain victory on 62 seats. The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) got 8 seats.
