Ghatkopar - BMC elections and party hopping is nothing new but there is one candidate who does not belong to NCP, SS, BJP or Congress.
This candidate is none other than Pratiksha Ghuge who was an NCP corporator who contested 2012 BMC elections. However, NCP was in no mood to entertain her for 2017 BMC elections. Realising that she will be shown doors, she sought support from BJP.
To her dismay, BJP party workers and senior officials opposed Ghuge and told her not to expect a ticket. She moved her focus to Shiv Sena. Here, she was assured of ticket and was given AB form as well. But at the end moment, her form was taken away citing technical reasons.
Upset Ghuge looked up to Congress who welcomed her with open arms. She got the ticket and AB form as well. She started prepping for campaigning. When she thought he bad phase is over, she got the news that her form has been rejected as she did not file an affidavit.
“I am being framed into this. SEC has deliberately cancelled my form. I will go to court against this,” said miffed Pratiksha Ghuge.
