Ahead of Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) chief Raj Thackeray’s visit to an event organised by Uttar Bharatiya Mahapanchayat, Mumbai Congress President Sanjay Nirupam attacked Thackeray and said that before visiting the event, he should first issue an apology to the North Indian community.

Raj Thackeray’s rise in politics was after he subscribed to the ideology of “sons of the soil” while assaulting the working class people who migrate from Uttar Pradesh and Bihar. Nirupam said that a politician can do anything to save his party and Thackeray’s visit to this event is just a political gimmick.

Nirupam opined that Raj Thackeray and his political party have a role in exploiting and carrying out injustice against North Indians for many years. Therefore, Thackeray should apologise to the people from UP and Bihar.

The MNS chief on December 2 will be visiting an event organised by the North Indian community in Kandivali.
