Senior Congress leader Sanjay Nirupam has slammed Shiv Sena MP Sanjay  Raut over his remarks on late actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s father. Nirupam said that every family has a story including those in Shiv Sena.

In an article published in ‘Saamana’, Raut said that the Bollywood actor didn’t share good relations with his father and was unhappy with KK Singh’s second marriage.

“I have sympathy for his (Sushant Singh Rajput) father but there are many things that will come to the surface. How many times did Sushant go to Patna to meet his father? He was not in good terms with his father,” Raut claimed in his article.

Reacting to this, Nirupam labelled the remarks made by the Shiv Sena leader as “foolish”. He said that Shiv Sena should be sensitive towards the death of Sushant Singh Rajput and not act insignificant.

“Shiv Sena’s MP has made foolish remarks on Sushant Singh Rajput’s family. Every family has a story including those in Shiv Sena. Sushant’s demise is a sensitive issue. Shiv Sean should show some sensitivity and not act insignificant,” Nirupam tweeted in Hindi.

Meanwhile, Neeraj Kumar Singh Bablu, the cousin of Sushant Singh Rajput and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MLA, has demanded an apology from the Shiv Sena leader for his remarks. Bablu has threatened to file a defamation case against Raut for making remarks which are untrue and not factual.

“The claims made by Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut about the second marriage of Sushant’s father is fake. I will file a defamation case, if Sanjay Raut doesn’t publicly apologise,” Bablu said.

Stating that the remarks made by Raut were highly condemnable, Bablu asserted that the Maharashtra government and Mumbai Police were politicising the SSR death case.
