Dadar- As a mark of protest against the allegedly 'sexist' remarks made by BJP leader Vinay Katiyar, the Congress Women’s wing staged a protest at Dadar’s Tilak Bhavan on Thursday morning.
The women also burned his effigy and shouted slogans against him. The Maharashtra women's wing president Charulata Tokas led the protest. She demanded that Katiyar apologise for his sexist remarks.
It seems that some politicians cannot stand women in politics and they show it by making sexist remarks. Firebrand BJP leader Vinay Katiyar remarked recently about Gandhi dynasty scion Priyanka Gandhi Vadhra saying, “There are many beautiful star campaigners. There are many heroines and artists who are more beautiful.” Though his statement did not deter Priyanka, she replied in a subtle way. During one of her speeches, she commented on Katiyar’s statement saying, she would "expose the BJP's mindset towards women."
