Former corporator of Ward No. 3 in Magathane Assembly Constituency of Shiv Sena's Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray faction, Balkrishna Brid joined Chief Minister Eknath Shinde's Shiv Sena along with his workers.
After the split in the Shiv Sena, former corporators of the Thackeray group in Mumbai have joined Shinde's Shiv Sena one by one. So far more than 30 former corporators have defected to Shiv Sena Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray group. Meanwhile, on Tuesday night, former Dahisar corporator Balkrishna Brid also joined Shiv Sena at Balasaheb Bhawan. Shiv Sena secretary Sanjay More, Shiv Sena spokesperson Kiran Pavaskar, former corporator Ram Repale, Goregaon division chief Swapnil Tembavalkar, Shiv Sena spokesperson Sheetal Mhatre and all office bearers and workers of Shiv Sena were present on this occasion.

Along with Brid, his son Hrishikesh Brid, assembly coordinator Dattaram Kadge, consumer chamber ward organiser Dattaram Chinderkar, sub-branch chief Santosh Yadav, Sachin Yedekar, Anil Bankar also joined the Shiv Sena.
