Aditya Thackeray had alleged that around INR 35-40 crores were spent on Chief Minister Eknath Shinde's visit to Davos. To rectify these claims,  Deepak Kesarkar had organized a press conference. Speaking on the occasion, Kesarkar claimed that the Chief Minister slept for only four hours during his visit to Davos.

"During the Davos visit, thousands of crores of investment was being done for Maharashtra, it was not appropriate for the Chief Minister to remain absent from Davos. This would have been an insult to Prime Minister Modi. CM was in Davos for 76 hours and during this whole time he slept only for four hours. He interacted with different people for 72 hours”, said Kesarkar.

Meanwhile, speaking on this occasion, he also replied to Aditya Thackeray's allegation. The unconstitutional Chief Minister used a chartered plane to go to Davos. Aditya Thackeray criticised that the expense for the same must have gone up to INR 2-2.5 crores and the state had to bear the brunt of it.

Speaking in this regard, Deepak Kesarkar said, “We can understand that Aditya Thackeray lacks experience due to his age. So it is not right to say something everyday and make a joke of himself. People from all over the world come to Davos in a chartered plane and travelling in one is not a crime. In the past, many Chief Ministers have travelled in chartered aircraft. So Aditya Thackeray's allegations are ridiculous."
