Mumbai - Mill workers are still waiting for their homes. The previous government had promised to built homes for the mill workers on the land of mills. Almost one lakh 50 thousand workers applied for them. When the government could not provide homes to so many applicants, Ex -Cm Prithviraj Chauhan agreed to give mill workers 13000 homes built by MMRDA in Panvel. Then BJP government promised that these homes will be allotted to the workers by August 2016. But now its October and workers have not received anything yet. Finally, on 18th October 100 mill workers are going protest with hunger strike outside CM's residence. "Government seems reluctant to give homes to the mill workers " said, leader of Girini Kamgar Sangharsh Samiti, Datta Iswalkar.
