CST- Fishermen community from last many years are struggling to get their demands fulfilled. In spite of the ban on the purse seine nets by Maharashtra CM, Devendra Fadavnis purse seine nets are been used at many places for fishing. Due to which traditional fishermen’s occupation is at risk.
Around 12,000 fishermen are finding it difficult to earn their daily bread and butter. Keeping all this in mind, now fishermen and OBC community has decided not to vote for BJP and RSP in the upcoming BMC election.
Fishermen community is now planning to meet Governor C Vidyasagar Rao and CM Devendra Fadnavis regarding the same and also to oust Mahadev Jankar from ministry. Fishermen will also ask a SIT investigation on this corruption. They are also planning to burn an effigy of cabinet minister Mahadev Jankar.
