The hearing of Eknath Shinde Vs Uddhav Thackeray with regards to power struggle in Maharashtra is going on in the Supreme Court. Seven months have passed since the Maha Vikas Agahdi government (MVA) came to power. The next election is also one and a half years away. The calculations for the 2019 assembly elections have not been settled yet but NCP party workers, however, have decided that next CM will be from their party.
In span of one month, banners saying 'Future Chief Minister' were seen with State President Jayant Patil, Leader of Opposition Ajit Pawar and MP Supriya Sule in it. However, MP Supriya Sule has expressed strong displeasure over this banner.
The banner was removed overnight
The regional office of NCP is located in Ballard Estate area of Mumbai. A few days ago outside this office, there was a cutout of Ajit Pawar stating, "Future Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Ajit Dada!" When questions were raised with regard to this banner, it was taken down. The same night, a cutout was placed saying "Supriya Sule, First Woman Chief Minister of Maharashtra". This banner too was taken down following the commotion in the party.

Someone is plotting against us, said Supriya Sule
When MP Supriya Sule was asked about this, she got angry. “Today my photograph has been used, tomorrow it will be the girls of your house. Who is posting the photo of Dada and me? Why is this banner being put up early in the morning? Who is behind all this? this should be investigated by the Mumbai police. This is a question of safety for both of us”, Supriya Sule reacted angrily.
"Banners for Jayant Patil were put up by activists to wish him on his birthday. But there is no one's name on the banner put up for me and Dada."
Supriya Sule has appealed that the method of cutout is also the same, so the police should find out who is behind it.

We have no competition, said Ajit Pawar
Leader of the Opposition Ajit Pawar was also asked about this after the banner of the future Chief Minister came out. Responding to this, Ajit Pawar said, “Don't give too much importance to those who apply such banners. Anyone can have such banners tomorrow.
"We have no competition. Don't take it too seriously, don't give importance to it. Activists are highly enthusiastic and they satisfy themselves by putting up such banners. Tomorrow someone will put up a banner as the future prime minister but nothing of that sort happens."
