Agripada- Asha Gavli, wife of Mumbai underworld don Arun Gavli, was invted to inaugurate the Akhil Bhartiya Sena’s (ABS) party office at Byculla’s Aagripada on Sunday.
Gavli's daughter, 33 year old ABS coprorator Geeta Gavli who has already won the corporator's seat twice - once from the ward no. 212 and then ward no. 205, is now eyeing BMC elections for the thrid time. The party office inauguration was aimed at paving the ground for a hat trick for Geeta.
Both Asha Gavli and Geeta Gavli are trying their best to woo voters by conducting various programmes for the citizens in their localities. Will Daddy's daughter be able to woo the voters third time round to score a hattrik in the poll stakes in the city? Currently the ABS has only two corporators in the BMC - Geeta and Vandana Gavli, who is Arun Gavli's brother's wife. The family had shot once more into the spotlight with the release of 'Daddy' in late 2016, a biopic on the underworld don that featured Arjun Rampal.
