As the Hathras rape case has sparked outrage across the country, Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut attacked Bollywood Actress Kangana and questioned the silence of those who supported her.
During her tussle with Shiv Sena and Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC), Ranaut had labelled Mumbai as Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (POK). In his column published in ‘Saamana’, Raut picked up on the same point and questioned the silence of Kangana Ranaut over the Hathras rape case.
Ranaut was quick to label Mumbai as ‘POK’ but is silent on Hathras case as if the culprits were her brothers, the Shiv Sena leader said.
“Those who demanded justice for Kangana Ranaut when her illegal office was demolished are silent over Hathras case. They have become invisible now. The victim in Hathras case was not a celebrity. She was a common girl whose dead body was burnt illegally,” Raut said.
Raut, the Executive Editor of Saamana, compared the Hathras incident to atrocities being committed against Hindu girls in Pakistan. He said that incidents of rape and murder of Hindu girls happen in Pakistan.
“This all happened in Yogi’s ‘Ram Rajya’. Such incidents of rape and murder of Hindu girls happen in Pakistan and the incident happened in Hathras is no different. But no one has called Hathras a Pakistan,” he asserted.
In his column, Raut said that the situation would have been different if a similar incident had taken place in Maharashtra. Everyone would have demanded the government to be dismissed and the imposition of President’s rule here, he added.
Meanwhile, Ranaut has tweeted demanding justice for the Hathras Victim saying that she has full faith in the Yogi government that justice will be served. However, the actress didn’t speak about the action of cremating the victim’s body in the night.
