Mumbai – The Mumbaikars have got one more big assurance from the BJP as Union Minister Anant Kumar has assured to give two new centres for the treatment of heart disease in the city.
Anant Kumar while addressing a press conference here on Friday said that 6.17 crore people in the country are suffering from various heart-related ailments. Heart surgeries are performed on 5 lakh people every year and the cost of treatment is very high. Hence, the city BJP unit will start two heart centres in the city. The heart patients have to spend Rs 35,000 to Rs 60,000 for one heart stent. After discussion with prime minister Narendra Modi, the cost of this treatment will be affordable for common people and one stent will be made available at Rs 7,260. The blood stents which costs Rs 2 lakh will be made available at Rs 29,640 all over the country. The rates of medicines will be decreased up to 50% and 3,000 Jan Kalyan medicine shops will be opened in the country, said the Union Minister.
